GST Admission Test: 1 Lac 50 thousand Candidates in each Unit

Admission test dates of 20 general and science and technology universities of the country have been finalized. Admission test of Humanities Department will be held on 19th June, Commerce Department on 26th June and Science Department on 3rd July. A maximum of one and a half lakh admitted students in each department will be able to take part in the admission test.

Thus, detailed guidelines have been published on how the admission process will be. The guidelines have been published on the admission test websites of the cluster universities. For the first time in the university, the admission test is going to be held on a cluster basis. Through this, a student will get the opportunity to get admission to any university with a single test (on a merit basis). There will be three separate exams for students in the three departments.

Preliminary application for admission test will start on April 1. It will continue till April 15. The results of the preliminary application will be released on April 23. The final candidates will be selected on the basis of merit (results of SSC and HSC) from among the initial applicants who will get the opportunity to take part in the examination. The final candidates will apply from April 24 to May 25. The test will be held in 31 centers. Candidates can list a minimum of five centers.

A total of 100 marks will be tested in one and a half hours. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates of each department and will be published on the website (gstadmission.org). Each university will then call for an application separately stating its own conditions in the admission notification and will complete the admission process according to the merit order.
