GST Admission Circular 2020-21 has been published. This admission notice has been published online for 20 general and science and technology universities. A prospectus has been published along with the Universities Integrated Admission Notice. Online Application Form fill-up, Application Fee Payment Procedure are explained in detail in the prospectus of Integrated Admission System. Online admission forms can be filled through the gstadmission org website. The eligible candidates’ list and admit card will be published on the same website.

Cluster System Admission Test centers will be set up in each university. A detailed seat plan will be published before the combined admission test. Comprehensive Admission tests will be held in the MCQ method. Admission test marks distribution, question type and pattern have already been announced.

A total of three admission tests will be held for the Science, Humanities, and Business Studies groups. The Admission Test date and schedule have already been announced. Admission Results will be published at the end of the admission test. Universities will complete admissions on the basis of a merit list. All the candidates who pass will get a score. On the basis of this score, the universities will publish the admission notice and select the candidates.

Universities will issue separate admission notices at the end of the integrated admission test. Universities will select students based on their scores based on applicants’ applications. Universities will mention the applicable conditions for admission in their admission notice. Students can be admitted to that university only if they fulfill the conditions. Apart from the integrated admission test, 20 universities will not take any separate admission test. Universities Integrated Admission System 2020-2021

Integrated admission test will be held from 2020-21 academic years. A total of 3 admission tests will be held for Science, Humanities, and Business Studies groups. A total of 20 General and Science and Technology universities will participate in the integrated admission test. The general universities are-

Jagannath University (Dhaka), Islamic University (Kushtia), Comilla University (Comilla), Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (Mymensingh), Begum Rokeya University (Rangpur), Barisal University (Barisal), Rabindra University, Bangladesh (Sirajganj) and Sheikh Hasina University ( Netrokona).

The universities of science and technology are- Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Sylhet), Khulna University (Khulna), Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology (Dinajpur), Mawlana Bhasani University of Science and Technology (Tangail), Noakhali University of Science and Technology (Noakhali),  Jessore University of Science and Technology (Jessore),  Pabna University of Science and Technology (Pabna), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology (Gopalganj),  Rangamati University of Science and Technology (Rangamati),  Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University (Gazipur),  Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib University of Science and Technology (Jamalpur) and Patuakhali University of Science and Technology (Patuakhal).

Universities will not accept any separate admission test. Admission activities will be completed on the basis of the results of the integrated admission test.

Eligibility/ Required Qualification

Candidates will be able to participate in the integrated admission test for the second time. In other words, candidates who have passed HSC and equivalent examinations in 2019 or 2020 will be able to participate in the GST Admission Test. In that case, the candidate has to fulfill the required qualification for the respective unit. Eligibility to apply for admission in Science, Humanities, and Business Studies Group is mentioned below.

GST Admission Eligibility

GST Admission Form 2021

Candidates have to fill the online admission form. The Admission form can be filled through the gstadmission.org website. No admission fee has to be paid for the primary application. The candidate has to pay the application fee if he/she is considered eligible for the admission test. Follow the instructions below to fill up the GST Admission Form 2020-21.

Application Fee Payment

Students will be able to pay the GST Admission Fee through bKash, Rocket, Sure Cash, and Nagad. Detailed instructions of payment gateway of application fee can be found in the prospectus. The Payment Procedures are mentioned on Admission Notice and Prospectus. Only initially selected candidates to have to pay the application fee of Tk.500.

Eligible Candidates List/ Short List

A shortlist will be published after the primary application deadline. Only eligible candidates can participate in the admission test. Students will be given the opportunity to take the admission test several times the total number of seats. That could be 30 times the total number of seats. The final application form will be accepted after publishing the eligible candidates’ list. A separate shortlist will be published in each unit. The eligible candidate’s shortlist will be prepared based on the GPA of SSC / Equivalent and HSC / Equivalent examinations.

Admit Card Download

The GST Admission Test Admit Card will be published after the final application deadline. Only final applicants can download the GST Admit Card. The Admission Test Date and other information will be mentioned on the admit card.

Marks Distribution

The Humanities group admission test will be in Bengali, English, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). There will be 40 marks in Bengali, 35 marks in English, and 25 marks in ICT.

The GST admission test in Business Studies (Commerce) will be on Accounting (25 Marks), Business Principals and Management (25 Marks), Language (13 marks in Bengali and 12 marks in English), and ICT (25 Marks).

Science students will have to take the admission tests in the language (10 in Bengali and 10 in English), Chemistry (20), Physics (20), and ICT, Mathematics, and Biology in any two subjects (20 in each subject).

Seat Plan

Each of the cluster universities will have an admission test center. Admission tests will be taken on the university campus. Admission tests will not be accepted off-campus.

The applicant will be able to select the admission test center while filling the primary application form. The candidate has to make a list of the centers where he/she wants to take the test. The center will be allotted based on the SSC / equivalent and HSC / equivalent results of the candidates.

GST seat plan will be published before the admission test of each unit. GST admission test will be taken according to the published seating arrangement.

Admission Test Results

No one will pass or fail the GST admission test. Everyone will get a score based on the test. The universities will then issue admission notices on their own terms and will admit students on the basis of those results.

Admission results will be published at the end of the admission test of all units. Since there is no issue of passing or failing, no separate waiting list will be published here. The names of all the candidates will be on the merit list.
